Parsons man sentenced to 7 years for manufacturing meth

CHANUTE – (February 12, 2014) – A Labette County man was sentenced today to more than 7 years in prison for manufacturing methamphetamine, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.

Michael Vincent Stuart, 23, Parsons, was sentenced to 90 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections by Judge Daryl Ahlquist in Neosho County District Court for manufacturing methamphetamine in November 2010. Stuart was found guilty of this crime in December 2013.

The charge stemmed from an investigation by the Neosho County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant Attorney General Amanda Voth of Schmidt’s office prosecuted the case.
