FREDONIA– (June 6, 2016) – A Neodesha man was sentenced today to seven years in prison for voluntary manslaughter and aggravated endangerment of a child, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.
Shane Dion Ogletree, 27, was sentenced in Wilson County District Court by Judge David Rogers to 84 months to be served in the Kansas Department of Corrections. Ogletree was convicted in April of voluntary manslaughter and aggravated endangerment of a child. The conviction stemmed from a crime that occurred in May 2013.
The case was investigated by the Neodesha Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Assistant Attorney Melissa Johnson of Schmidt’s office prosecuted the case.
